A.I.T. Science Exhibition

Last Autumn the Athlone Institute of Technology, invited 5th and 6th class to a science exhibition. My class and I went around looking at the stands.

There were very generous stands such as Supermacs which gave out free chips and this was an all round favourite. There was another stand which had "Who wants to be a Millionaire?" on P.C. They also had "Rayman 2".

There was a stand where you had to try and spin a knob as fast as you could to generate electricity. Then we went to a fascinating stand that took a swab from your mouth that could be tested to see if you were ill.

After that we went to the Garda stand that could take your finger prints. They also showed us how they could identify your finger prints. We also went to the Ericsson stand where they were showing the MTV awards.

My favourite stand of all had to be the army stand where they were showing equipment and they had a remote control robot. We also got our picture taken by the Westmeath Independent but unfortunately our photo was not on the paper. However our teacher Ms. Gilligan was on the paper.

Some of my friends and I think we might join the army when we leave school.

We really enjoyed the exhibition. By Alan ,5th class .
