U.12 COMMUNTY GAMES SOCCER, KILTOOM/CAM

We beat Sligo in the Connacht final and this brought us to the national finals in Mosney. We were in Mosney for five days. We played two soccer games and at night we went to the disco. We played really well against Wicklow. At full time there was no score. At the end of extra time it was still nil all. Everyone was very tense. I was in goal for the penalties.

At the end of the shoot out it was 1-0 for Wicklow. I got person of the match for consistency in goal. We beat Donegal 1-0. Aine o' Brien got our goal. That evening we were presented with our bronze medals. At the end Noel King [our trainer] announced person of the match. I could not believe it-it was me again! Noel King , Muriel King and Seán Gately helped make our team a successful one. I thank them for their dedication in coaching us.
